We are sharing a few methods we use as Parents, our son's Teachers/Therapists incorporate and community support organizations and safety experts espouse to help communicate, teach and mainstream Students on the Autism Spectrum.
As Parents, we continue to work with our son on expectations, Transitioning, Peer Engagement, Obedience, as well as, Wandering, Elopement and Safety issues.

Parents of Students on the Autism Spectrum desire the same goals as Parents of Students who do not have Developmental Disabilities: TO LEARN AND ENJOY ALL ASPECTS OF SCHOOL.

Dr. Pratt is the Director of the Indiana Resource Center for Autism at the Indiana Institute on Disability on Disability and Community located at Indiana University. She was named the Shibles Distinguished Visiting Professor in the College of Education and Human Development at the University of Maine. Dr. Pratt pursued her doctorate at Indiana University and is on faculty. She is the Immediate Past Chair of the Autism Society national Board. Also, Dr. Pratt earned her BCBA (Board Certified Behavior Analyst). For more information on Dr. Pratt, including the Advisory Boards she serves and articles she's written, refer to the Chartwell Center.
