Dr. Mad Science - autistic boy who enjoys experiments

Profile PictureDoes your kid enjoy science and experimenting?  Our 6 year old son certainly does!  So much so, he participated in his 1st inclusive Science camp.  Now, he's even more  interested in bubbling, mildly exploding, mixing chemical and electronic reactions.  We notice that he talks, shows his personality, uses critical thinking, willingly engages and expands his social circle while he's enjoying science activities.  We can't wait until next year.

in the meantime...

We subscribed him to Dr. Mad Science!  Jordan is a preteen who is an avid golf-enthusiast who also, who demonstrates and narrates science experiments.  Check out some of his video lessons on YouTube.  By the way, he uses household products to conduct his experiments!
Just like our Joshua, tween Jordan is enjoying life on the autism spectrum!

Enjoy from the Cosse' Family

*Hi5! Numerous factors point to the relevance of individuals with Autism. One vital aspect is how, what, why, when, where and how often we spend money or cause money to be spent. People living on the Autism Spectrum and their families, friends, groups, clubs, organizations, independent businesses, supporters and advocates are ALL consumers. We can be quite focused. We can advocate until laws are changed. We are experts at raising awareness. We can be a marketers dream target group or a P.R. nightmare! Campers will learn about the scientific principles of face recognition by doing fun, hands-on activities, creating their own computer animal morphs and participating in real-live psychology lab experiments.

Campers will also demo new computer games currently being developed by our tech team.

Face Camp is a FREE , fun, and educational camp for children of all abilities.

Northshore High School's FIRST Robotics Team 1912 Combustion, located in Slidell, Louisiana, was established in the fall of 2005 by a small group of seniors. Since then, we have expanded into a diverse family of mentoring professionals and enthusiastic students from all grades. As we implemented the values and goals of FIRST throughout the seasons, every student was able to leave the team enriched with vital science, engineering, and real-life skills. The overwhelming task of building a functioning, effective robot within six weeks challenges students to communicate, cooperate, and learn as a team. Throughout this intense timeframe team members absorb everything from project management to programming and power-drilling, and become dedicated to promoting science and technology. Our love for teamwork and engineering extends into the off-season with demos, volunteering, workshops, and camps throughout the region. With so many places to go and events to run, students here at Northshore discover that building the robot is only the beginning of their FIRST experience.
